Go to the Competency Practice Problems

This set of practice problems was designed to help students prepare for the COS Math Competency Exam.
There are 156 problems divided into 9 sections.

Directions:
Click on the section you would like to work on. The problem will be shown at the top of the page.
Click on the multiple choice answer that you think is correct.
The program will tell you whether or not your answer is correct, and show the steps used to reach the correct answer.
After you have finished a section, the program will automatically continue on to the next section, unless you choose a different section by clicking on it.
Your score for each section will be shown in a box on the left.
Work each problem carefully before choosing an answer.

Information:
The actual Math Competency Exam consists of 55 questions and has a time limit of 90 minutes.
Calculators are not allowed on the actual test.
A passing score on the Exam is 70% or better.
