Multiple sources of information and concise bibliographic references are required: 1. to underline the importance of cross-referencing the accuracy the information and opinions encountered on the Net, and 2. to give proper credit to the originators of data and ideas cited in students' work.

RULES of the HUNT:

Using all your Internet skills (and my links!), find the answers to the following questions. You must: a. find at least three different sources that agree on the data, b. note the URL (the address) of all your sources, and c. e-mail your findings to me!

1. Who developed the carbon-fourteen dating technique in archaeology and when?

2. Who is Linda Schele and what is her importance in Mesoamerican studies?

4. Find a current exhibit of Precolumbian Mesoamerican art, describe the focus of the exhibit and how it relates to this semester's course of study.

5. After reading the previous questions and answering them by using the resources available online, there have undoubtedly been several items of art historical or anthropological interest that have caught your attention. Now is the time to propose your own art historical or anthropological question. State your question, answer it, and give the reference for the answer to your question.
